Webhooks and Zapier
A webhook sends each new note to a URL that you select. Use it to send your notes to a CRM, a document tool or your own server.
Beta. Webhooks are in beta. To set up a webhook, send an email to support@dictanote.co. Give us the URL that must receive your notes. We support Zapier and other webhook URLs.
How the webhook works
- AudioScribe makes a new note.
- AudioScribe sends an HTTP
POSTrequest to your webhook URL. - The request body is a JSON object with the data of the note.
Request body
| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
id | Integer | The unique identifier of the note. |
title | String | The title of the note. |
note | String | The rewritten text of the note. |
originalTranscript | String | The transcript of the audio. |
tags | String | The tags of the note, if the note has tags. |
createdAt | String | The date and time when AudioScribe made the note, in ISO 8601 format. |
Your endpoint
- Accept
POSTrequests with a JSON body. - Send the status code
200 OKwhen you receive the request.
AudioScribe does not use the body of your response.
Use the webhook with Zapier
- In Zapier, make a new Zap.
- For the trigger, select Webhooks by Zapier > Catch Hook.
- Copy the webhook URL that Zapier gives.
- Send the URL to support@dictanote.co.
- When we confirm the setup, record a test note in AudioScribe.
- In Zapier, test the trigger. Then add the action, for example “Create a row in Google Sheets”.
