File requirements
| Item | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Formats | M4A, MP3, MP4, MPEG, MPGA, WEBM, FLAC |
| Maximum file size | 25 MB |
| Maximum length | 30 minutes |
If your file is larger than 25 MB, make it smaller before you upload it. For example, export it as MP3 at a lower bit rate. If your recording is longer than 30 minutes, cut it into parts. Upload each part.
Files that give a bad transcript
- Recordings with loud background noise or music.
- Recordings where many persons speak at the same time.
- Recordings that are almost silent.
If the file has no usable audio, AudioScribe shows this message: “We could not find any usable audio in this recording.”
