Use AudioScribe

Edit, copy and export notes

All of your notes are on the AudioScribe home screen. Open a note to edit it, copy it, rewrite it or export it.

Find a note

• Search: type a word in the Search box in the header. AudioScribe searches all of your notes.
• Filter: select All, Starred or a tag above the list.
• Star: select the star on a note to add it to Starred.
• More notes: select Load More at the bottom of the list.

To listen to a note, select the play button on the note. To copy a note without opening it, select Copy on the note.

Edit a note

1. Select the note to open it.
2. Select the title or the text and type your changes.
3. Select an area outside the text. AudioScribe saves your changes automatically.

Add tags

1. Select Add Tag.
2. Type the tag and push Enter.
3. Select Done.

To remove a tag, select the X on the tag.

See the original transcript

Select View Original Transcript. AudioScribe shows the words that you said, before the rewrite. You can edit, copy or download the transcript and the audio here.

Copy a note

Select Copy. AudioScribe copies the text of the note. Paste it into your email, document or other app.

Rewrite a note

You can rewrite a note again with a different style, length or language. The original transcript does not change.

1. Open the note.
2. Select Rewrite (wand icon).
3. Select the Rewrite Level, Writing Style, Output Length, Transcript Language and Output Language.
4. Select Rewrite.

Export a note

1. Open the note.
2. Select Export.
3. Select a format: Markdown (.md), Plain text (.txt), Word (.docx) or PDF.

To include the original transcript in the file, first open View Original Transcript. The menu then shows Export (with transcript).

To save the recording, select Export > Download audio.

Export all notes

1. Select the gear icon to open Settings.
2. Go to Your data.
3. Select Export all notes.

AudioScribe makes a ZIP file. The file has each note as a Markdown file and all notes in one JSON file. AudioScribe sends a download link to your email address. The link stops working after 7 days.

Combine notes

With AudioScribe Pro, you can combine a maximum of 10 notes into one new note.

1. On a note, select the options menu (⋯), then select Select.
2. Select the other notes.
3. Select Combine.
4. Select Just combine, Light cleanup or a writing style.

The original notes do not change.

Delete notes

• One note: open the note and select Delete. Then confirm.
• Many notes: select the notes as in Combine notes. Then select Delete and confirm.
