Start
Get started
Make an account, set your languages and record your first note. This takes approximately two minutes.
Step 1: Make an account
- Go to dictanote.co/audioscribe/app/.
- Select Continue with Google, Continue with Facebook or Continue with Email.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
If you have a Dictanote or Voice In account, use the same account. AudioScribe uses the same sign-in.
Step 2: Set your languages
When you open AudioScribe for the first time, it shows a short introduction. Then it asks for two languages.
- Select Get Started.
- In Input Language, select the language that you speak.
- In Output Language, select the language for your written notes.
The two languages can be different. For example, you can speak in Spanish and get notes in English. To change the languages later, refer to Languages.
Step 3: Record your first note
- Select the record button at the bottom of the screen.
- If your browser asks for permission to use the microphone, select Allow.
- Speak your note.
- Select the stop button.
AudioScribe uploads the audio, makes a transcript and rewrites it. Then it shows your note. Refer to Record a voice note for more information.
Step 4 (optional): Install AudioScribe
You can open AudioScribe faster in these ways:
- On a computer: install the browser extension for Chrome or Edge. It opens AudioScribe in the side panel on every website.
- As an app: select Install app in the AudioScribe header. This button shows only when your browser can install web apps.
- On an iPhone or iPad: open AudioScribe in Safari. Tap Share, then tap Add to Home Screen, then tap Add.
- On an Android phone: select Install in the Install AudioScribe banner.
The free plan
The free plan gives you 10 notes each month. Each free note can be 3 minutes long. The limit resets at the start of each month. AudioScribe Pro removes these limits. Refer to AudioScribe Pro.
