Settings
Languages
AudioScribe uses two languages: the language that you speak and the language of your note. They can be different.
Set your languages
- Select the gear icon to open Settings.
- In Input Language, select the language that you speak.
- In Output Language, select the language of your notes.
AudioScribe saves the change immediately. The new languages apply to your next notes.
Input Language
The input language is the language of your recording. If you select Auto Detect, AudioScribe finds the language automatically.
Recommendation: Select your language. Do not use Auto Detect if you always speak the same language. Auto Detect can select the wrong language, mostly for short recordings and strong accents.
Output Language
The output language is the language of your written note. If it is different from the input language, AudioScribe translates your note.
Examples:
- Speak in Hindi. Get a note in English.
- Speak in English. Get an email in French.
The original transcript is always in the language that you spoke.
Change the language of one note
- Before the note: turn on Quick Selection. After each recording, AudioScribe asks for the output language.
- After the note: open the note and select Rewrite. Then select a different Output Language. Rewrite is a Pro feature.
Supported languages
AudioScribe supports more than 50 languages. The Input Language and Output Language lists in Settings show all of them.
