AudioScribe turns your voice into written notes. To do that it has to handle your audio and your words, so here is exactly what happens to them.
| Data | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Account email and name | Sign-in, receipts, support | Until you delete your account |
| Audio recordings and uploads | Transcription, and playback from your notes list | Until you delete the note, or minutes after processing if Delete audio after processing is on |
| Transcripts and rewritten notes | They are your notes | Until you delete them |
| Writing styles, samples, special words, language settings | To write the way you asked | Until you change or delete them |
| Usage events (note created, export clicked, …) | To see which features work and fix what doesn't | Aggregated; no note content is ever included |
Your recording is sent to a speech-to-text provider (Groq, with OpenAI as a fallback) and the transcript is sent to a language model on Groq to be rewritten in your chosen style. We use these providers' business APIs, whose terms state that content sent through the API is not used to train their models and is not retained beyond what is needed to return a result.
We do not train any model on your audio or your notes, and we never sell or share them with advertisers.
Turn on Settings → Your data → Delete audio after processing and the audio file is deleted from our storage as soon as your note's final text exists. The transcript and the note stay; only the recording goes. Notes made before you turned this on keep their audio until you delete them.
notes.json. Single notes export as Markdown, text, Word or PDF from the note page.We run our own analytics instance (PostHog, self-hosted on our servers) to count product events such as "note created" or "export clicked". Events never contain your audio, transcripts, note text, writing samples or special words. There are no third-party ad trackers.
Card details go directly to Stripe or PayPal; we never see or store your full card number.
