The oil in which it grows is known as andisol soil. This type of soil is exclusive of the slopes of the volcanoes, which comprises to a large extent of volcanic ash and lava.
I hope you are receiving the idea here.
This is a coffee with a very different story story!
That's fine, well, and interesting too.
Really is.
But what about the taste?
As always, we connect the beans immediately before the elaboration. And to make coffee, we use our Trusty Bonavita Brewer.
Then we left the coffee to cool us for a couple of minutes before tasting.
My wife took the initiative, since she has a sense of smell much more sensitive.
She immediately picked up the fruity aroma. With maybe something floral there too.
When we tested coffee, we both smiled. This is our type of
coffee.
It is a personal preference, but we like a coffee that is full body and advertised with a touch of bitterness in the tongue. In other words, it is a robust cup of coffee.
That said, that robust presence in the mouth does not overwhelm its subtle flavors.
There is a solid layer of chocolate in ther.
E, who also gets this coffee some bonus points of us. Once again, a personal preference. And then you get a layer of the fruity and floral flavors that we picked up in the aroma. A touch of citrus fruits too. In short, we love this coffee. It is not difficult to find a strong and full body coffee. And it is easy to find more delicate beers that give these fruit and floral notes. What is much harder to find is a coffee that offers everything, in a balance of balances. So yes, we are fans. We love this coffee.
Thank you very much to the people of Allann Bros Coffee to send us some bags of your coffee.
The name of Allann Bros may not be as famous as Starbucks, but have existed for almost so much time. Small lots of gourmet coffee began to roast in 1972. (Starbucks opened its Cafeteria Pike Place Market in 1971.)
It is enough to say that these boys have been supplying and roasting fine cafes since before gourmet coffee became popular. In the 70s, most Americans were still receiving their daily caffeine shock from their local restaurant.
something more than I like about Allann Bros is that his cafes are roasted to order every day in a toaster of 1939 Jabez Burns.
I love that. Anyone can roast a coffee ok in a modern toaster and computer controlled, with electronic sensors and luxury monitors. But it takes a real skill and experience to handle an outstanding coffee with a toaster of 1939.
Today we are going to try their phoenix and the coffee of the turtle. This is 100% Arabica, a medium roast mix of coffee beans from Central America and Indonesia.
