How do I use a Headset Mic, NOT a Computer Mic?

Does anyone know the answer to this?

To set up headphones to listen to microphone input, you can follow these steps and test the mic by mic test.

1. Right click on the volume icon in the system tray and then click on Recording device.
2. Double click on the microphone listed.
3. On the Listen tab, check Listen to this device. Select the device you want to hear your voice on under Playback through this device.
4. On the Levels tab, you can change the microphone volume.
5. Click on Apply and then click on OK.
